First-of-its-Kind Sevierville Attraction Announces Grand Opening

A brand new, one-of-a-kind attraction is opening in Sevierville: SkyLand Ranch! This new attraction combines all your favorite things about the Smoky Mountains into one exciting venue — featuring a scenic chairlift, a mountain coaster, incredible views, miniature animals, daily entertainment, and more. SkyLand Ranch will officially open to the public on Nov. 4, 2022 at 9 AM.

This new attraction in Sevierville, TN is excited to start welcoming visitors to the Ranch. The full opening comes just two weeks after the opening of its mountain coaster, The Wild Stallion, on Oct. 20. On November 11, an official grand opening celebration for SkyLand Ranch will be held. In honor of Veterans Day, the celebration will begin with a flag raising ceremony before visitors load the chairlift. The first two guests to step off the chairlift at the top will be the first official guests at SkyLand Ranch and rewarded with lifetime passes to the attraction!

“SkyLand Ranch has been a dream of our family for over 10 years,” said Lisa Williford, owner of SkyLand Ranch. “The ranch theme matches well with the Five Oaks 100-year-old farm. The idea is to form a destination that tells a story of life on the ranch with a spark of amusement, festivals, shopping, dining, and leisure. The Five Oaks area already has outstanding lodging, dining and shopping with the Tanger Outlets — and amusement and recreation is the only thing missing from this area of Sevierville.”

Located next to lodging, restaurants and one of the largest outlet centers in the South, SkyLand Ranch overlooks a 100 acre farm with a formal ranch look. It is guaranteed to be one of the most popular places to visit in the Smoky Mountain area.

This unique attraction is a $40 million project that includes daily live entertainment, the longest mountain coaster in the southeast, miniature animals, gorgeous views and more. Visitors will take a ride on a scenic chairlift to the top of the attraction, where hours of fun await. The hybrid chairlift will give guests the option of both chairs and open-air cabins to be added shortly after opening. Visitors may also choose to get to the top by shuttles or an open-air safari truck. Other onsite attractions include the Wild Stallion, a mountain coaster that’s 1.25 miles long and already open to the public, and an elevated walkway with 360-degree views of the mountains that’s coming soon. This entertainment venue will also be known for its event space, with plans to host daily live entertainment and a variety of festivals and exciting events throughout the year. SkyLand Ranch aims to attract visitors of all ages, from kids, to teens, to adults.

Another unique aspect of SkyLand Ranch is the miniature animals, including miniature cows, donkeys, and horses, along with goats and sheep. After visiting with the animals, guests will love browsing both the food barns and the retail barns. SkyLand Cafe & Bakery will have a sandwich shop, a homemade candy shop, a bakery, a coffee shop, and more. In the retail barn, visitors can find western wear, toys, Christmas decor, and more, plus SkyLand Ranch souvenirs! There will also be various food trucks that offer everything from BBQ and burgers to dessert.

SkyLand Ranch is owned by Mark and Lisa Williford, who also own Rowdy Bear’s Smoky Mountain Snowpark in Pigeon Forge. Smoky Mountain Snowpark offers rides and activities that are the first of their kind in the area.
