Singapore (17 October 2021) – Cookies these days are often treated as a part of the confectionary, which deals with toffees, candies, sweetmeats, and chocolates of different types. In earlier times, cookies were bought from the local confectionery stores and grocery shops. Nonetheless, with the increasing trend of online shopping, diverse online stores were accepted, dealing with various categories of products. One such product that customers demand is cookies. To cater to the growing demand, Singapore’s Savor South East Asia offers an assorted and delicious range of fresh Southeast Asian snacks and cookies that are hard to find anywhere else.
Savor South East Asia is a confectionary business offering diverse varieties of snacks and sweet treats, believing in the delight of food with basic ingredients to make tasty cookies, rich in identity and flavor. They present snacks with special Southeast Asia flavor and snacks with classic (Western) flavor with premium ingredients, like cranberry, almond, and muscovado.
Just recently, Savor SEA aimed to highlight the diverse culture of Southeast Asia through tasty cookies. According to Kelvin Chua, co-founder of Savor South East Asia, “We genuinely hope that we can introduce the rich, diverse and vibrant food culture of Southeast Asia to the rest of the world through our cookies and many more items to come.”
The business takes pride in their cookies like laksa, nanyang kopi, pandan, bandung, and more. The brand tries to incorporate Southeast Asia food flavors into its cookies. Cookies are usually perceived as sweet, but they also try making savory cookies.
Their Muscovado Sea Salt Chocolate Chip offers a mixed sweet and savory taste that is cherished and loved by both children and adults. Savor SEA only utilizes first-class Muscovado sugar extracted from sugarcane, which is mainly harvested in Southeast Asia. Further, they have a classic range of cookies like chocolate, cranberry, and more to satisfy the traditional cookie lovers.
Chua explained, “Our crusty Muscovado cookies are filled with chocolate chips and sprinkled with sea salt on top, making a battle of flavors in the mouth when you bite into the cookies. Also, the sprinkle of sea salt highlights the rich chocolate flavor.”
The brand started when a young girl arrived in Singapore on holiday. She tried Savor SEA’s local traditional food Laksa and fell in love with it. Upon returning to her home country, the girl’s craving for Laksa continues, and she searches for a good bowl of authentic Singapore Laksa.
After knowing the girl’s story from her mum, the brand was inspired by her story and decided to make Laksa-flavoured cookies to send her as a surprise. The girl then received a special gift from Singapore on Christmas Eve. Touched and moved, the company’s founder decided that more locally-inspired cookies must be made, leading to the birth of Savor SEA.
Savor SEA believes that one of the best ways to experience the culture of another country is through food. If a person is from Western but would love to try some Southeast Asian treats, Savor South East Asia is perfect. Their selection is broad but also ever-evolving. The confectionary store doesn’t just repeatedly put up the same items, but new items are also continuously added to the store.
The company’s ingredient for success is not the quantity of product but in the service and quality, they offer for their customers. Their flexible outlook and willingness to offer simple yet tasty cookies bring goodness that has allowed them to serve as the leader in the industry.
